| Since our focus is on helping you increase your bottom line, we emphasize project management. We have, accordingly, created a diverse array of project management assessment tools that can be used at either the organizational or individual level. These models place emphasis on the core competencies to determine what skill sets need improvement. Our rationale is simple. If, for example, individuals within the organization have poor written and verbal communication skills, all the project management courses in the world are going to result in mediocre performance improvements because the individuals simply do not possess the foundational skills needed to communicate with their fellow team members.
Once an individual masters the core skills, through self-paced training or through a mentoring program, the individual will be exposed to more advanced training exercises that are designed to develop his/her skills. Only after the core competencies are mastered will the individual be expected to study and learn the actual skills and techniques of project management.
This program is designed to ensure that good management fundamentals are understood and applied. It is typically easier for an individual to improve one skill at a time. As a result, the program is constructed to allow the individual to focus on a specific area of weakness, to gain mastery in that area, and then to move on to related areas that allow him/her to build upon the knowledge gained in the previous module. At no time is an individual expected to tackle advanced applications without having a chance to improve his/her grasp of the fundamentals of the subject area. |
